Police received a report of an ongoing disturbance at approximately 10.20pm in the Damolly Meadows area of Newry on Saturday, 21st September.
On officers’ arrival it was noted damage had been caused to windows at a property in the area, and it was reported a woman had been assaulted.
Police arrested a 28-year-old woman on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and other offences – she was later released following questioning.
Meanwhile a second woman, aged 30, was also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and other offences – she has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
