A public consultation on a new draft Community Safety Strategy, set to run between 2025 and 2030, has been launched by the Housing Executive.
Ciarrai Reilly, Housing Executive Community Safety Manager, explained: “We have developed our draft Community Safety Strategy by working with our partner agencies across the statutory, voluntary and community sectors.
“We know anti-social behaviour can have a huge impact on individuals and communities and this strategy sets out a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to addressing this through engaging with residents, fostering collaborative partnerships and using evidence-based interventions.
“It focuses on our key priorities of building community confidence, identifying local solutions and sets out how we will work together with other agencies to improve community safety.
“Over the coming weeks, we are encouraging as many people as possible to participate in the public consultation.
“It can be accessed on the consultations section of our website.
It’s a great opportunity for everyone to view the strategy and have their say in how we develop and deliver our services.
“We are committed to fostering a culture of mutual respect, responsibility, and pride within our social housing communities. “This consultation gives everyone the chance to have their say – feedback and views will help us to shape, develop and deliver a strategy that will improve community safety across Northern Ireland.”
