Newry and Armagh Workers Party representative Nicola Grant has urged Newry, Mourne and Down District Council to create fan zones in the district for the All Ireland final as Armagh take on Galway.
Speaking to Clanrye News and Sport Nicola said:
“There is certainly a buzz since Armaghs semi final win on Saturday. And in two weeks time we will see them take on Galway at Croke park for hopefully a win to take home Sam.”
“However in due to the financial costs and ticket availability many will miss out So I would call upon Newry and Mourne district council to give consideration as ABC council are for the creation of ‘Fanzone spaces’ will ensure that families in particular can enjoy watching the game in a fun filled, safe and exciting atmosphere.”
