Sinn Féin MLA Cathy Mason has said the launch of a consultation on school uniforms is a positive step to reducing costs for parents and families.
Cathy Mason said:
“It is welcome that the education minister has launched into school uniform costs.
“Any step towards making school uniforms more affordable for parents and families is positive.
“I would encourage parents, schools and pupils to take part in the consultation and make their views known.
“Any legislation must be robust and families who are already struggling with rising cost of living must actually feel an impact.”
