Sinn Féin councillor Áine Quinn has condemned an attempted burglary at a house in Creggan on Saturday evening.
The Slieve Gullion councillor said:
“A home in the Creggan area was targeted by individuals on Saturday evening.
“While nothing was taken from the house, the occupants have been left badly shaken by this ordeal.
“The number of burglaries that have taken place in both South Armagh and Newry in recent weeks is extremely concerning.
“I would urge everyone to continue to be vigilant, to look out for their neighbours and ensure that their properties are kept secure at all times.
“If anyone has information on this crime, I would encourage them to bring it forward to the Police.”
