Sinn Féin councillor Aidan Mathers has welcomed works to repair a number of previously damaged machines in Newry Leisure Centre.
The Newry City councillor said:
“I was pleased to see that works are now underway to repair a number of machines that had been previously damaged.
“The number of damaged machines was a key concern raised by a number of the leisure centre users.
“I commend the staff for this work, tackling the concerns of users is vital to attracting users to the leisure centre.
“I will continue to work with users to press the council to ensure they continue to address issues at the leisure centre.
“This facility was hard fought for by the people of Newry for many years and they deserve a first class facility delivering first class services to all users.
