Yesterday, officers from A Section LPT Newry received a report from Translink stating a number of bags had been stolen from passengers on the Enterprise Service.
Due to the quick reporting by Translink and actions of LPT, the 3 male suspects were tracked through Newry Town Centre.
Having been sighted by officers from Newry City NPT team, the 3 males made off on foot with officers giving chase. The 3 males were then stopped and arrested on Kildare Street for a number of offences.
A large quantity of stolen items were recovered from these males, who are currently assisting with enquiries in Police Custody.
