Saoradh’s Newry Office Raises the Flag with Palestine

In a further expression of support and solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance, Saoradh’s Newry office today [ Oct 8] raised the Palestine flag proudly from our office in the centre of Newry.

Earlier today our Newry members visited Marks & Spencer where we re-labelled Israeli goods with Palestinian themed stickers promoting a boycott.

Speaking from Saoradh’s Newry office the representative for the party’s International Department, Stephen Murney said “Furthermore this afternoon a number of activists assembled at Saoradh’s Revolutionary Hub in St Mary’s Street and unfurled a banner which read “Saoirse don Phalaistín” – Freedom for Palestine – as the Palestinian flag was hoisted above our office.

A flag representing the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine [PFLP] was also held aloft in support of the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades which is aligned to the Front.”

Murney continued “Irish Republicans have watched with admiration as Palestinians bravely stood up against all odds and launched “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood”, an offensive against the Israeli war machine.

“We salute the martyrs who have selflessly paid the supreme sacrifice while resisting the occupiers over the past few days. Their bravery and resilience is inspiring for Revolutionary anti-imperialists around the world, ourselves included.”
