Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has said that the exciting potential of the Armagh observatory and planetarium site should be fully realised and developed.
The Newry and Armagh MLA Said:
“The local Sinn Féin team, along with Mickey Brady MP and I, met with the team at Armagh Planetarium and Observatory to hear about their exciting plans for the future and to discuss how they can continue to grow.
“The planetarium already attracts thousands of visitors to Armagh every year as well as carrying out important scientific research and they have a real ambition to grow even further.
“Their plans could make the planetarium a major tourist attraction for Armagh and to provide an amazing educational resource for schools across the Island.
“Sinn Féin is determined to maximise the tourism potential of Armagh to create new jobs, to grow the local economy and provide first class facilities for local people to enjoy.
