Sinn Féin MLA Conor Murphy has called on the British Secretary of State to explain what the plan is for getting the Executive up and running and stop playing fast and loose with the public.
The party’s economy spokesperson said:
“What Chris Heaton-Harris needs to explain is what’s the plan for getting the Executive up and running? What is the British Secretary of State doing to ensure that happens instead of playing fast and loose with the public who are already paying for household water through their rates?
“Twice in the last twelve months, the people resoundingly endorsed Sinn Féin’s positive message of getting the Executive up and running.
“Michelle O’Neill and Sinn Féin stands ready to lead an Executive for all while others continue to block the political institutions being formed. The coming period must see this change.
“We need government to deliver for all the people of the north. There can be no more delays.”
