Newry based business man Barry James Fearon of Newry attended Newry Court on Friday 30th June accused of harassment of a Newry based business woman.
Fearon of BJF Training Ltd was convicted at Newry Courthouse of harassment and misuse of electronic communications towards a female victim. A stalking charge was also attached to the harassment charge.
He was ordered to pay a fine of £600 and Judge Eamonn King implemented an eighteen month restraining order.
Speaking following the outcome of court proceedings the PSNI said:
“Inspector Heatley, of the Local Policing Team in Newry, said: “I want to assure all members of the public that we take harassment and crime of this nature extremely seriously. Such actions, without doubt, cause unacceptable distress to all concerned. If you are the victim of similar, or indeed of any crime, please contact police on 101, or in an emergency call 999.”
