A former Newry, Mourne and Down DUP councillor who admitted two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child has avoided prison.
The Newry, Mourne and Down District Councillor who represented the Rowallane DEA was arrested in February on suspicion of attempting to meet a child following potential sexual grooming.
William Walker, 60, posed as a younger man and asked two “children” to send him pictures in their school uniforms. However he had actually contacted members of a so-called paedophile hunter group acting as decoys.
In one message Mr Walker says he wants to make the 14 year old feeling special and talks about having a sexy accent. He puts several xs at the end of his messages.

In another message Walker talks about falling for the young girl and being their valentine. He wants to start lovemaking when the girl is 16 and going for walks with her before then.

Walker then talks about the young 14 year old being his girlfriend.

Walker then proceeds to call the 14 year old a princess and hug her. The he starts talking about his big bed.

In another message he talks about treating her and spoiling the 14 year old and falling in love with her.

In another chilling message he talks about the 14 year old girl and her school uniform.
