Sinn Féin Cllr Kevin Savage has welcomed investment in Gilford GP centre as a positive development for rural healthcare.
Cllr Savage said :
‘The single-storey extension would comprise a consultant room, a mental health suite and admin support.
‘ The new facilities will modernise the building and offer a wider range of primary care services to a mainly rural population.
‘ While much focus is given to acute healthcare, investment in primary healthcare is as equally important and this investment in Gilford is a step in the right direction.
