Sixty school children from St Moninna’s Primary School, Newry Student Council visited Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Michael Savage and Council officials at Council Offices in Downpatrick recently.
The pupils from Primary 6, expressed an interest in visiting the Council as they were keen to learn more about the plans to build the Newry City Park. During the visit students took the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session with the Chairperson.
Chairperson, Councillor Michael Savage thanked the children for coming along and taking such an interest in the exciting plans for Newry.
