The international extravaganza that is the Fiddlers Green Festival finally returns following a Covid 19 hiatus. The world renowned festival is back in Rostrevor County Down and is without a doubt going to be quite the spectacle.
Speaking to Clanrye News and Sport Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council , Cllr Michael Savage said:
“As Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council it is my great pleasure to welcome everyone old and new to the return of the Fiddlers Green Festival 2022. The Council has supported this world-renowned festival, which attracts visitors from across the world.
After having to deal with the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic and not being able to hold in-person events, if ever there was a time we need this vibrant and uplifting celebration of arts and culture, it’s surely now. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Committee and volunteers on producing yet another fun filled festival.
As ever the mix of famous musicians and performers with a varied local programme for young and old, makes the Fiddler’s Green Festival an experience beyond compare. A warm welcome awaits every visitor, which ensures that people will return year after year to experience the beautiful scenery at Rostrevor and the diversity of talent which makes the Fiddler’s Green Festival such as success.”
