Sinn Féin MLA John O’Dowd has thanked all those who came out to vote his party at the recent Assembly election.
Mr O’Dowd said :
‘A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me and Sinn Féin. It is an honour to represent the people of Upper Bann, I will do my very best to serve you in the time ahead.
‘My colleague Councillor Liam Mackle came very close to winning a second seat and I am sorry he didn’t make it.
‘To my comrades in Upper Bann Sinn Féin, go raibh mile Maith agaibh, you put a huge effort into Liam’s and my campaign, you should be rightfully proud of yourselves.
‘ It is now time to restore the Executive and Assembly. Families and workers need help with the cost of living crisis. The Health service needs investment.
‘ Only a fully functioning Executive can achieve those goals.
