Independent Newry City Councillor Gavin Malone has condemned the recent burning of a car at Altmore Gardens in the city.
Speaking from his social media Cllr Malone said:
“After being contacted by local residents, I visited Altmore Gardens today (Sunday 9th January) where a car has been burned out. This is a very quiet area and the residents pointed out that this type of behaviour does not occur here.
Quite rightly, they are angry and upset and certainly don’t wish to see any repetition. I totally condemn all such behaviour and I appeal to those engaged in such criminality to desist from their actions.
I have reported the car for removal by Council.”
