SDLP Slieve Gullion Councillor Pete Byrne has welcomed a budget allocation for the Camlough Lake Recreational Hub at this months Strategic Policy and Resource Committee.
Byrne said: “I was delighted to propose the budget allocation from the capital programme for the Recreational Hub at Camlough Lake during the last Strategic Policy and Resource committee of 2021. This funding will be hugely transformative for the Camlough area and enhance the tourism offering we have in South Armagh.”
“I also asked for the Camlough Lake Task and Finish Group to be reconvened at the earliest opportunity to carry the work forward. This is an exciting phase of regeneration work at the lake which will secure first class facilities for users across the district.”
