Sinn Féin Councillor, Oonagh Magennis has expressed concerns about the proposed plans to build a 20 metre Phone mast in the centre of the village.
The Councillor explained that:
“Everyone across South Armagh understands that we need better mobile phone infrastructure within the area. However, the residents feel that this infrastructure shouldn’t be placed in the middle of the village, next to a childrens playpark when they believe there are more suitable sites located outside of the village itself.”
Continuing, Councillor Magennis stated that:
As a Slieve Gullion Councillor I would encourage all residents to send in their objections in writing to this proposed site as soon as possible before 27th August to the address below.
