Sinn Féin MLA Liz Kimmins has said the Economy Minister must act to support all students.
Speaking ahead of a debate in the Assembly on Tuesday, the Newry/Armagh MLA said:
“Sinn Féin’s motion in the Assembly is about ensuring all students receive financial support.
“Students in further education, part-time students and those studying in the south or Britain must not be left behind by the Department of the Economy.
“Over the last number of months, Sinn Féin MLAs have been engaging with students across the North, and it is clear they need support and need it now.
“Sinn Féin have continuously called on the Economy Minister to remove any barriers to making this happen.
“It’s time to put money back in the pockets of all our students and give them the support they deserve.”
